DAY 1

Arrive In Cusco And Airport Transfer To Hotel

We are staying one night in Cusco, this is to prepare us and get supplies if needed, such rubber boots, butteries and other things, and we can also visit the local market and walk in the surroundings. (3200 m)​

DAY 2

Cusco To Wayquecha Biological Station

Early in the morning we will departure toward Paucartambo Town, we will stop by Huacarpay lake, this lake is an important site for birds and native plants, then we will continue driving for five hours, in the way we will stop in different highlands habitats, we will drive through the rough Puna. Overnight in station cabins accommodation. (2900 m)​

DAY 3

Wayquecha Biological Station

(2900 m). We will drive four hours crossing the Andes toward the east slope. Here Wayquecha is a station hosting scientifics, researcher and also tourists, Wayquecha known for study of plants and birds from the Elfin Forest, we will be looking for the beautiful and rare birds founded mainly at this elevation. Overnight in station cabins accommodation (2900).

DAY 4, 5 and 6

The Cloud Forest Lodge

(1500 m), We will drive for four hours dawn road passing many water fall and small streams, this is the mountain forest of the Manu Park, they are many species of hummingbird and colorful vivid birds we will look for famous Peru national bird, is called “the Andean Cock of the Rock” and the rare Woolly Monkey are only founded at this elevation. Over nights at the Lodge (1600 m)

DAY 4, 5 and 6

Pillcopata Town / Villa Carmen Station

We will continue driving down until Pillcopata Town. About 10-minute drive is Villa Carmen Biological Station, also opportunity to visit my native friends the shaman Alberto Manqueriapa in his community. We can driver by a rough mountain road to Santa Rosa de Huacaria Native Communitive. Here we can meet with Wachipaeri indigenous people. Overnights at hotel in Town. (800m)​

DAY 9

Pillcopata Town / Villa Carmen Station

We will continue driving down until Pillcopata Town. About 10-minute drive is Villa Carmen Biological Station, also opportunity to visit my native friends the shaman Alberto Manqueriapa in his community. We can driver by a rough mountain road to Santa Rosa de Huacaria Native Communitive. Here we can meet with Wachipaeri indigenous people. Overnights at hotel in Town. (800m)​

DAY 10 and 11

Amazonia Lodge

(500 m) we will take a boat ride for 15 minutes to Amazonia Lodge. Here more different hummingbirds and other birds to observe just in the garden of lodge and discovering the walking trails in the surroundings, over nights at the lodge.

DAY 12 and 13

Native Community Of Shintuya

(400). takes two hours by boat. The community of forty-five families with about 300 people belong mainly from the native family group of (Harakmbuk), some others (Wachipaeri). The natives of the Manu Area come to study in the small school managed by the Dominicus. We will stay in a small rustic local accommodation and enjoy natural hot springs. Overnight at basic accommodation.

DAY 14,15,16,17 and 18

Casa Machigenga

An small basic and rustic eco-lodge based on Matsighenka native construction, located in the up river of Manu, in to the National Park, Casa Machiguenga is a good example of ecotourism project coming from the (Yomibato and Tayakome community), and 100% of the earnings are going to them. It takes us about six hours by boat from Shintura. The object of this project is to give the visitor the opportunity to learn about and understand not only the natural wonders of Manu but also the cultural history and traditions of its inhabitants. Plenty days to discover the magestic nature and wildlife. Overnights at casa Machigenga, basic accommodation.

DAY 19 , 20 and 21

(Friday To Sunday, 05-07): Blanquillo Lodge

We will navigate dawn Manu River for about four hours to meet again the Madre de Dios River and then navigate for one a half hour more. We will stay at Blanquillo Lodge, the extraordinaire Manu Macaw Lick is found here, we can look for more wildlife in the lakes and canopy Tower. Overnights at the lodge.

DAY 22

Boca Colorado And Cusco

We take a boat ride down stream for three hours to Colorado village, them one hour by car to rich the Inambari River, we will across to Santa Rosa village and take another a car for six hours along the Interoceanic high way to get Cusco City. Really long day and be prepare, Overnight at hotel in Cusco.

DAY 23

Transfer Airport And Flight Back To Lima And Continue To International Flight…

END IN CUSCO

About Your Guide

Richard Amable is a senior tour guide born in Peru, He follows the career in ecotourism, birding, and natural history of the Neotropics and North America also has been involved in nature and birding since a young age doing many volunteering works in projects of wildlife research and educational programs. He is an expert on parrots. He has the knowledge and understanding of the nature, and culture of many geographic regions in South America, Central America, and North America such as Perú, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Panama, and United States. In 2004. He founded the Jacamar Club – Perú, a birding group from Madre de Dios department in Perú. In 2014 Richard become a menber of the board of trusty for the Audubon Society of Ohio. He has stated, “My commitment is to learn from all natural regions and get to see all of the animals is possible. With that knowledge, I will teach and share my passion with others to help strategists for conservation.
