Tour Considerations

Accommodations: In the Apolo region, which is mostly undeveloped and far from any town, we will be staying at a basic hotel, but is clean and comfortable. At Charazani, the accommodation is very basic and we will do our best to make you feel comfortable. Hotels for the rest of the tour range from good to excellent.

Transportations: During the trip to Apolo region we will be provided with a 4×4 off road vehicle with plenty space for the equipment and gear.

Altitude: We will reach elevations in excess of 4000 mts on our drive to Apolo. Oxygen limitation can be present. Let us know if you have more questions.

Documents: Please check with the Bolivian consulate nearest you for entry requirements. Information about consulates and entry requirements is generally available online. Is recommend that your passport be valid for at least 6 months beyond the dates of your visit, passports should have an adequate number of blank pages for the entire trip. Some countries require a blank page for their stamp and as a precaution it is best to have one blank page per country you will visit or transit.

You will also need an International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever and COVID-19 to enter Bolivia. The vaccination is good for 10 years and can be obtained at your local travel clinic or from your physician.

Luggage: Please be aware that many airlines have recently modified their luggage policies and are charging additional fees for checked bags. Whether these are covered by the tour fee or not, will be the client’s responsibility.
