INTRODUCTION

Early Spring is probable the best time to learn and see Warblers at first hand, their arrivals represent the big importance for wildlife conservation in USA and the Americas. Over 28 species or Warblers can be seen across the state of Ohio. And we plan to celebrate this, merging into the Biggest Week in American Birding festival in northern Ohio. There will be many other birders and nature lovers. The Leader-instructor Richard Amable will do his best to make sure you get to experience and enjoy in most.

DAY 1

May 10th

Early-morning departure drive of 3h 30m, from Butler county to our hotel-accommodation in Port Clinton, many scenic of field-farms, grasslands and forest as you move. Upon arrival in the hotel, we will go directly to Magee Marsh Board Walk, continue to Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge and Maumee Bay State Park Boardwalk. We will end the day at the festival headquarter by evening-night with social party and fun recreation. Some expected birds today such us Mute Swan, Trumpeter Swan, Wood Duck, Horned Grebe, endangered Chimney Swift, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Dunlin, Least Sandpiper, Semipalmated Plover, Greater Yellowlegs, Bonaparte’s Gull, Caspian Tern, Double-crested Cormorant, American White Pelican, Sharp-shinned Hawk. Northern Harrier, Bald Eagle, Red-tailed Hawk, Red-headed Woodpecker, Northern Flicker. Willow Flycatcher, Eastern Phoebe, Warbling Vireo, Purple Martin, Black-capped Chickadee, White-breasted Nuthatch, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Gray Catbird, Brown Thrasher, American Goldfinch, White-crowned Sparrow, Baltimore Oriole, Red-winged Blackbird, and the Warblers, Northern Waterthrush, Blue-winged Warbler, Black-and-white Warbler, Prothonotary Warbler, Nashville Warbler, Kentucky Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, Hooded Warbler, American Redstart, Cape May Warbler, Northern Parula, Blackburnian Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Blackpoll Warbler, Palm Warbler, Pine Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler Black-throated Blue Warbler, Indigo Bunting and many others Night at friendly hotel in Port Clinton. Today, after breakfast we will go back to Magee Marsh Board Walk for some missing birds, after early lunch head back to Cincinnati. B – L

OBSERVATIONS

For Day 1. Richard Amable will meet you at the Hotel in Port Clinton, around 9:30 am, There will be a minivan for six participants. Dress for birding for the rest of the day. THE LEADER RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE ORDER OF THE ACTIVITIES OR CHANGE TRAILS DEPENDING ON THEIR CONDITION DUE TO WEATHER OR EXTENSIVE USE

About Your Guide

Richard Amable is a senior tour guide born in Peru, He follows the career in ecotourism, birding, and natural history of the Neotropics and North America also has been involved in nature and birding since a young age doing many volunteering works in projects of wildlife research and educational programs. He is an expert on parrots. He has the knowledge and understanding of the nature, and culture of many geographic regions in South America, Central America, and North America such as Perú, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Panama, and United States. In 2004. He founded the Jacamar Club – Perú, a birding group from Madre de Dios department in Perú. In 2014 Richard become a menber of the board of trusty for the Audubon Society of Ohio. He has stated, “My commitment is to learn from all natural regions and get to see all of the animals is possible. With that knowledge, I will teach and share my passion with others to help strategists for conservation.
